Duck Call

Pretty much every hunter has a duck call, and I know very few duck hunters who've only owned one duck call. Over time as you get better, you'll want more out of your call. And that's where new acrylic duck calls come into place.

The most common duck calls are the single reed duck call and the double reed duck call. The double reed duck call is easier to blow, and is better at close duck hunting situations.

The single reed duck call is normally louder and harder to blow than the double reed. Most hardcore hunters prefer the single reed over time. You can get a better sound and more pitch variations with the single reed duck call.

Practice will make perfect, and I guarantee you won't get it right the first time. A good duck caller will know when his skills are there. It's how well the ducks respond to your duck call.

Duck Call Whistle

This type of call is normally used on whistling ducks, such as pintail, widgeon, wood ducks, and diving ducks. Spend some time listening to duck whistles before you use your duck call. Although easy to blow, there is a technique to this duck call. You can also learn to imitate a drake mallard with this duck call.
