![]() ![]() Deer Stand & Deer Blind Where do you start with deer stands and blinds. It all depends on the terrain. There's raised models like the one on the left. Make sure it's easy to set up and take down, no need for injury out in the field. The below one is another option. It gives you more room to move around and I personally took a 12-point with one this year. Use your tried and true scent blocker and there's no reason to worry about being on the ground.
Here's another way that many use the hay bale blind. First off order the model with the accessories you'll need. You can even order one with open holes in the side for easy release of a bow. The other popular accessory is the hay bale scent spray. It really helps cover up any human odor. The best way to use a bale blind is out in the feed field. The best situations I've found is when you're hunting in an open field with many trails leading into it. You won't be limited to one particular trail, you can cover the whole field. |
